In December 2015, Li Xinmo participated in the "Fog Is Not the Same as Haze" Contemporary Art Exhibition, showcasing her haze-themed installation, "Fog." This exhibition was held at The Tree Gallery in Beijing, Tianjin Sanyuan Contemporary Art Space, and the Hebei Art Museum. Li Xinmo uses a new kind of clay that is very soft and malleable, capable of creating a unique visual language. This installation consists of modifiable elements within a space. She first creates the basic elements: people, arms, dead birds, white branches, solidified clouds, and collapsed landscapes, and then re-combines them in the space. This work explores themes of nature, dreams, fables, and poetry. Different visual languages form various combinations to construct new moods and meanings, much like words coming together to form sentences, resulting in a visually oriented poem.
