The artist felt particularly heavy-hearted during her time in Meibei Village. Every day, she heard about slaughter, torture, abuse, and violence; in this deliberately abandoned, dusty village are buried countless crying souls. She created blue water droplets and hung them in the yard. As she repeatedly looked at these droplets, she saw tears. Jeremiah said, “Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!”
