These works are a series of paintings created by Li Xinmo from 2009-2019. These works are not painted with traditional paints, but with "biological pigments" such as menstrual blood, coffee, and tea. Most of these paintings are about personal experiences as a woman, love and desire, emotions, trauma, mother-child relationships, as well as the imagination and reconstruction of the body. Li Xinmo tries to explore and discover her self-awareness, personal experience and spiritual world through painting.
