This work was created for an art project in Australia that showcases how women around the world used handicraft materials in their artistic creations and reflections during the COVID-19 period. Lace, a typical symbol associated with femininity, changes its original light and soft connotation when sewn with many diagonal lines across a calm woman's face, transforming into a symbol of darkness and acute pain. Their faces, hidden behind the spreading, climbing lace, seem to tell untold stories.
